Course Description
The BLS recertification course covers the following:
- Basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Rescue breathing for adults, children, and infants
- Use of a bag-valve mask device and pocket face mask to administer breaths
- CPR as a lone rescuer or as a part of a two-rescuer team
- Appropriate procedure and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

Can you renew BLS/CPR online?

We recommend that you check with your employer to find out if your BLS certification renewal is required along with your ACLS renewal.
Is there a grace period for CPR/BLS renewal?
Every employer has a different set of guidelines and requirements on the amount of time you are allowed to let your BLS certification renewal lapse, if any. We generally recommend that you do not allow your recertification to be expired for more than 60 days, but again, please make an inquiry to your employer to discern the amount of time they will actually allow you to be technically uncertified.
